Painting holiday in the South of France
Have you always wanted to try watercolour painting or to simply improve your technique, but never found the time in your busy life to do so? Maybe you would love to spend the week painting but your partner would rather explore the local area? If that’s the case, why not join us here on our holidays in the south of France where we make sure that both painters and non-painters have an equally enjoyable week.
Painting en plein air with Simon
What his students have to say
Simon is a very talented artist in his own right and he is an exceptional teacher. His easy going, positive approach is designed to inspire and encourage. Classes are always enjoyable and everyone leaves with a sense of achievement as well as a painting!
Great coffee too!
Steve and I are thoroughly enjoying our weekly workshops. We have made significant progress thanks to Simon’s gentle teaching method and his way of creating a relaxed atmosphere while keeping an eye on everybody’s progress. He succeeds in enabling each of us to work at our own pace while being patiently coaxed out of our comfort zone and producing something we can actually like!
“I have been a regular visitor to the Robert’s studio over the past 2 years. It’s a very friendly laid back atmosphere for would be artists to explore their different styles and mediums. Simon is a talented artist and is always on hand to offer advice and encouragement – either as more structured tutorials or just letting us experiment. I have also enjoyed the en plein air sessions in different locations. Highly recommended!”
If you are looking for genuine encouragement in a conducive environment, look no further. Simon’s friendly sessions embrace all levels of ability. I have been joining his drawing class for over two years and I can say, without exception, everyone attending has blossomed. We can all take home our creations with pleasure and pride.
Simon’s art classes are very stimulating. I’ve attended them for several years, in fact I go to his studio twice a week. When I started “Painting in France” I had never held a brush in my hand, so I needed a lot of guidance. And when he offered drawing classes as well, I learned another skill. He teaches every student individually. During classes I feel free to explore different media and Simon is very generous in offering materials that suit me.
