Where you stay is such an important part of your holiday, your time on our art retreat is also about rest. As a result we’ve spent a lot of time visiting the houses and bed & breakfast that we use for our art retreats. We’ve made sure that they are calm, inspiring spaces for you to spend your spare time in. All the rooms are beautifully decorated with private bathroom facilities. There is also outside space with a swimming pool where you can just relax. All our accommodation for our art courses are hosted in traditional French houses. As a result you’ll really experience “la vie en France” for the week you spend with us.
Our Village House Accommodation
Our larger groups on our art retreats stay in typical French village houses. The houses are traditional old houses that have been renovated. As a result they are full of old world charm with all the mod cons. The houses all have spaces to relax, as well as a swimming pool for warmer days.
Breakfast on our art retreat will be served at your accommodation. After breakfast Simon will arrive with all the painting equipment. As a result all you will need to do is hop in the mini van, ready for the day’s painting.
Your house will be walking distance from the village with some local shops and places to grab a coffee. The villages are in the heart of the wine making region of the Languedoc and surrounded by vineyards. Furthermore as very little of the Languedoc is fenced you are welcome to walk through the vineyards in your spare time.
Our Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
For slightly smaller groups on our art retreats we accommodate our guests in a village bed and breakfasts. The upmarket and comfortable accommodation has a private garden and swimming pool. Breakfast is served at your accommodation every morning before Simon picks you up for the day’s painting.
The bed and breakfasts are all set in a typical winemaking villages surrounded by vineyards. As a result it’s walking distance from a local shop and a cafe bar where you can grab a coffee or a glass of rosé in your spare time if you wish.
