We all sometime wonder what it must be like to be in the limelight, how would we handle it? Our opportunity came along this summer when we got through the selection process to be filmed for A New Life in the Sun. A reality TV show that follows the lives of expats who have moved [...]
When one thinks about France, one of the first things to come to mind is the food. Cute little corner cafés, freshly baked French breads, the array of French cheeses; the fresh seasonal delights of a French market and the pastries… oh…the pastries. And so it goes on and on. Autumn in the air and what I love about this area is that the sun keeps shining – most of the time. Last week, I was out painting en plein air and making our first video tutorial with a good friend of ours who happens to be a drone pilot. Exciting stuff. We storyboarded our [...]
This tutorial is based on a scene at the village of Ventenac-en-Minervois on the Canal du Midi which was constructed between 1666 to 1681. This tutorial is worked up from sketches made in situ and a reference photo or two. You’ll enjoy using a rich palette of Prussian and Cerulean blues, ochres and deep greens.
Margon is a small village just 2 kilometres from Pouzolles. This tutorial is set with a view across the Autumn tinted vines and line of plane trees to the Chateau which dates back to the 12th century.?
