Simon & Monica Roberts, your hosts for this art and painting holiday in the south of France have lived and worked in the Languedoc for the past 7 years after moving here from the UK. They will be sharing their love and knowledge of the south of France with you to help bring your holiday to life.
Simon Roberts is a watercolour artist who honed his skills working as a commercial illustrator and storyboard artist. 7 years ago, Simon moved with his wife Monica to France where he has continued to work remotely for production companies and advertising agencies and well as nurturing his love of drawing and painting en plein air. For the past 4 years Simon has been running watercolour and drawing workshops based from his studio in Pouzolles in the south of France.
Simon has participated in a number of exhibitions including a solo exhibition of smoking icons from the Silver Screen at the Tobacco Factory in Bristol. He was also the guest artist at the annual exhibition at the Chateau in Laurens in 2014 as well as partaking in a number of local exhibitions.
Simon will be leading the daily workshops on this art and painting holiday in the south of France to help you learn and improve your drawing and watercolour painting skills.

Monica who grew up in South Africa before moving to the UK, will be helping the non-painters in the group explore the local area. With her love of history, local cuisine and general curiosity about the area, she will help you get under the skin of the ‘real south of France’ as you get to know the Languedoc.
